We’ve a dedicated team of experienced coaches from all over the world who love to share their knowledge and passion for the ocean. They’re all qualified surf coaches and beach lifeguards so you’ll always be in safe hands.
There’s no better beach in Cornwall than Watergate Bay to learn to surf! With two miles of beach and waves you’ll always find plenty of space in the water, unlike some of the better known beaches nearby.

All equipment is included in the price of your lesson. This includes a full length wetsuit and a soft foam surfboard. We also have boots if needed. If you would prefer to wear your own wetsuit then please do so, you are welcome to use our changing rooms.
Beginners are allocated one of our Softech learner surfboards. These boards are soft, buoyant and stable. Perfect for the first time surfer.
We have a variety of different length boards to cater for all shapes and sizes. If you have surfed before you may want to try one of our intermediate surfboards or premium hard board range.
Our qualified coaches will be with you every step of the way and provide hands on assistance in the water throughout.
Please arrive for your lesson 15 minutes prior to the start time. We have changing rooms and storage for clothes and bags, phones and valuables can be left securely in the shop.
