Errant Surf are running two more Surf Lifeguard courses this Summer 2014, one on 23rd June, which will get you trained up in perfect time for peak season and one on 15th September, which is ideal for those hoping to head to warmer climes and work this Winter.

The surf lifeguard awards that we deliver are a prerequisite for working with the RNLI on most of the UK beaches, the award is also needed should you wish to train as a surf instructor. The SLSGB Surf Lifeguard Award is also internationally recognised as one of the most comprehensive lifeguard courses in the world!

Candidates must have a good level of fitness and be able to swim 400m in under seven and a half minutes. They must also be able to run 200m in under forty seconds. People wishing to use the qualification solely for surf coaching only need to do the swim in nine and a half minutes. The course is open to anyone over 16 years old.

The courses are based in Newquay, North Cornwall and accommodation can be arranged on request. The course is run over five days with an examination day on the Saturday.
